Social activist Michael Amushelelo burned tyres in a street in front of the ministry of labour’s head office in Windhoek in a solo protest about the rights of workers on Friday.

“This burning of tyres in front of the ministry of labour symbolises the urgent intervention that should be taken to ensure that no other worker dies due to safety and health regulations being ignored,” Amushelo said on Facebook.
