The director general of the National Planning Commission (NPC), Kaire Mbuende, has asked policymakers to ensure artificial intelligence (AI) serves as a tool for empowerment rather than exclusion.

Speaking during the Bank of Namibia’s annual report launch on Monday, Mbuende said as AI is transforming industries across the globe, there are growing concerns about the risks it poses, particularly for vulnerable workers and sectors.
