Thirty thousand food packs that were meant to be given to people who were expected at the 35th Independence Day celebrations were distributed to members of the public in Windhoek on Friday.
The Independence Day celebrations and presidential inauguration that were scheduled to take place at Independence Stadium in Windhoek were relocated to State House due to rainy weather. Only a limited number of people were invited to the event at State House.
