Nahouri/Ramadan 2024: The Muslim community prays for a return of peace in Burkina Faso

Pô, (Africa Links 24) – The 2nd vice imam of Pô, El hadj Hamadou Tiétiembou officiated the Eid El Fitr prayer marking the end of fasting on April 10, 2024, in Pô. They prayed for the return of peace in Burkina Faso, blessed the transitional authorities, and the combat forces engaged in reclaiming national territory.

The Muslim community of Nahouri, like other localities in Burkina Faso, celebrated the Eid El Fitr festival marking the end of fasting on April 10, 2024, in Pô.

Provincial authorities led by the High Commissioner of Nahouri province, Auguste Kinda, the Catholic and Protestant communities attended this grand prayer at the Némaro square in Pô to support the Muslims of Nahouri.

The High Commissioner invited the different communities to combine their prayers and actions for the return of peace, social cohesion in Burkina Faso, and living together.

The grand imam of Pô, El hadj Allassane Moimbou, concluded the prayer by urging the Muslim faithful in Nahouri to celebrate with moderation and to remember internally displaced persons.
