Lands Minister Judith Nabakooba has challenged local council leaders in Mityana District to take responsibility for recovering government funds disbursed to communities under various livelihood programmes, saying failure to do so denies other residents an opportunity to benefit.
Ms Nabakooba, who is also the Mityana District Woman MP, said money disbursed under the Youth Livelihood Programme (YLP), Uganda Women Entrepreneurship Programme (UWEP), Parish Development Model (PDM) and Emyooga must be recovered and put back into circulation within communities.
