Strong gusts of wind with dust storms (70-90 km/h) are expected from Monday to Tuesday in several provinces of the Kingdom, announced Sunday the General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM).
This phenomenon will affect the provinces of Assa-Zag, Sidi Ifni, Tan-tan, Guelmim and Es-Semara, from 06h to 23h on Monday, as stated by the DGM in an orange alert bulletin.
The provinces of Chichaoua, Essaouira, Figuig and Errachidia will be affected by this phenomenon from Monday at 14h to Tuesday at 18h, added the same source.
According to the alert bulletin, a heatwave (35/39°C) is expected from Tuesday to Friday in the provinces of Taroudant, Guelmim, Assa-Zag, Es-Semara and Tata.
Furthermore, the provinces of Inezgane-Ait Melloul, Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, Chtouka-Ait Baha, Sidi Ifni, Tan-Tan, Laayoune, Tarfaya, Boujdour, Aousserd and Oued Ed-Dahab will experience a heatwave from 36 to 40°C from Wednesday to Friday.
The mercury should show temperatures ranging from 34 to 38°C during the same period in the provinces of Fquih Ben Salah, Azilal, Beni Mellal, Sidi Bennour, Settat, Al Haouz, Chichaoua, El Kelaa des Sraghna, Essaouira, Marrakech, Rehamna, Safi and Youssoufia, specified the same source.
