A hot weather (34 to 39°C) and strong winds (75-90 km/h) are expected on Friday and Saturday in several provinces of the Kingdom, the General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM) announced on Thursday.

Temperatures ranging from 34 to 39°C are expected from Thursday to Saturday in the provinces of Fquih Ben Salah, Béni Mellal, Settat, El Kelaa des Sraghna, Rehamna, Marrakech, Azilal, Al Haouz, Youssoufia, Chichaoua, Taroudant, Tata, Tan-Tan, Guelmim, Sidi Ifni, Assa-Zag, Tarfaya, Laâyoune, Boujdour, Es-Smara, Oued Eddahab and Aousserd, according to the DGM in an “orange” level alert bulletin.

The same temperatures will be felt on Friday in Kénitra, Sidi Slimane, Sidi Kacem, Skhirate-Témara, Khémisset, Salé, Rabat, El Jadida, Sidi Bennour, Nouaceur, Mohammadia, Mediouna, Benslimane, Berrechid, Casablanca, Safi, Essaouira, Chtouka-Ait Baha, Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, Inezgane-Ait Melloul and Tiznit, added the same source.

The mercury is expected to vary between 34 and 38°C on Friday and Saturday in Oujda-Angad, Berkane, Driouch, Nador, Guercif and Taourirt, according to the bulletin. Strong wind gusts (75-90 km/h) with dust storms will affect, from 8AM to 1PM on Friday, the provinces of Laâyoune, Es-Semara, Tarfaya, Sidi Ifni, Tiznit, Taroudant, Chichaoua and Al Haouz, the DGM announced.

The same phenomenon will affect, from 01AM to 3PM on Saturday, the provinces of Chichaoua, Al Haouz, Azilal, Béni Mellal, Midelt, Khénifra, Sefrou, Boulemane, Guercif, Taourirt, Driouch, Berkane, Nador, Jerrada, Oujda-Angad and Figuig, according to a “orange” level meteorological alert bulletin.
