His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him, President of the Al Qods Committee, has given His Very High Instructions to deploy a humanitarian operation of food aid, by land, destined for the Palestinian population of Gaza and the Holy City of Al Qods, indicates a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Residing Abroad.
This aid, coinciding with the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan, comes to alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian populations, especially the most vulnerable categories, the statement specifies.
Thus, the aid ordered by His Majesty the King, may God assist Him, for the population of Gaza consists of more than 40 tons of foodstuffs, including essential items.
In addition to the institutional aid, deployed notably through the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity, His Majesty the King, may God glorify Him, has graciously agreed to personally finance a large part of the aid delivered, particularly that destined for infants and young children, highlights the same source.
The ministry specifies that, since the outbreak of armed hostilities more than 5 months ago, Morocco is the first country to deliver, through this unprecedented land route, its humanitarian aid which will be delivered directly to the beneficiary populations.
Furthermore, His Majesty King Mohammed VI, President of the Al Qods Committee, has given His Very High Instructions to the Bayt Mal Al Qods Agency, to provide food aid to the populations of this Holy City. Thus, 2000 food baskets benefiting 2000 families from Al Qods will be distributed and 1000 meals will be served daily for the Palestinians of the City. The aid also includes providing the Jerusalem hospital with an emergency coordination room.
This large-scale humanitarian operation for the benefit of the Palestinian populations confirms the effective commitment and continued concern of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him, President of the Al Qods Committee, in favor of the Palestinian Cause, concludes the statement.
