The organizing committee of the 4th edition of the Maghreb Book Fair “Lettres du Maghreb” unveiled, Wednesday in Rabat, the program of this event which will take place in Oujda from April 17th to 21st, under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI. Speaking at a press conference aimed at presenting the program of this edition placed under the theme “Writing and Time”, the president of the Fair, Mohamed Mbarki, highlighted the “success” of the three previous editions, emphasizing the cultural and artistic position of the city of Oujda, especially after its selection as the capital of Arab culture in 2018.
The 4th Maghreb Book Fair will be enriched by the organization of multiple round tables on various themes, namely “Rewriting time”, “The time of Islam”, “Diasporas and migrations”, “The digitization of the world”, “Decolonizing the mind to decolonize knowledge”, “What is the use of poetry in times of crisis”, “African literatures”, “The short story in the Arab world”, “The novel between language and society” and “The translator as a traveler”. In addition to the organization of a major exhibition of artists from the region and the African continent that will be held in the “Moulay Hassan” Art Gallery on the theme “Artistic writing and time”, this edition will be marked by the holding of conferences in various spaces of the city.
