The head of government, Mr. Aziz Akhannouch, received on Saturday the members of the Instance responsible for revising the Family Code, who handed him the proposals of the Instance to be submitted for the High appreciation of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him.
In a statement to the press following the meeting, Mr. Akhannouch said he had received the members of the Instance responsible for revising the Family Code after completing their tasks within the deadlines set in the letter sent by His Majesty the King, may God preserve Him, to the head of government, specifying that the rotating coordinator of the Instance had handed him a report on the proposed amendments regarding the Family Code, to be submitted to His Majesty the King, may God assist Him.
The Instance worked with a participatory approach, organizing hearings with various stakeholders from civil society organizations working in the areas of women, children, human rights, as well as political parties, trade unions, judges, actors, researchers, academics, and ministerial departments and institutions, he added.
The Instance also received memorandums via email before examining the proposals resulting from the broad participatory consultations, Mr. Akhannouch specified.
On this occasion, the head of government reiterated his sincere thanks and gratitude to His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Amir Al Mouminine, may God assist Him, who had adopted this broad participatory approach to find ways to enable the Moroccan family to fully play its roles as a pillar of society.
The head of government expressed his honor in submitting the proposals of the Instance responsible for revising the Family Code for the High appreciation of the Sovereign.
