The Art Friends troupe takes the Moroccan audience on a unique theatrical journey with the play “Deux fois Deux” (Twice Two). Written by Issam El Yousfi and directed by Khadija Zaroual, this play will be presented from March 13 to 19 in Casablanca, Salé, and Fes. It tells the story of the lives of two neighboring families in the same building: Badiaa and Layla. “They are two sisters each married to two brothers, Ayoub and Said. Due to unexpected circumstances, Khaled proposes sharing a temporary villa, leading to hilarious and revealing situations.
Beyond the initial event, the play explores family relationships, children, daily life, and the personal visions of the characters within Moroccan society,” reads the presentation. “Deux fois Deux” features performances by Ayoub Abounnasr, Rajae Bouhami, Zaynab Alji, and Amine Belmaaza.
The composition and musical performance are entrusted to Youness EL Khrouf, while the scenography is handled by Asma Hammouch. It’s worth noting that the Art Friends troupe, known for its artistic commitment, promises a theatrical experience where humor, seriousness, and reflection are skillfully intertwined.
