This Thursday, March 21, 2024 is a day to mark in white stone for national football. The Royal Moroccan Football Federation will officially inaugurate the National Football Museum. This inauguration will be preceded by a meeting of the federation’s board of directors. This new building is constructed on an area of nearly 2,100 square meters. It was built within the Mohammed VI Football Complex, located in the Maâmora forest, on the northeast road of Rabat.
It will have a permanent exhibition space of 1,325 square meters, a temporary exhibition space of 300 square meters, as well as other spaces. Within this establishment, visitors will have the privilege of discovering historical documents, rare photographs, and football objects that testify to the rich history of national football that began in 1906. Specifically, 1,350 square meters are dedicated to the permanent exhibition, with 310 square meters devoted to temporary exhibitions.
Additionally, the National Football Museum is equipped with a screening room with 42 seats, a VIP lounge, and a dedicated documentation room. It is worth noting that a convention signed in March 2022 by the president of the National Museums Foundation (FNM), Mehdi Qotbi, and the president of the FRMF, Fouzi Lekjaa, established a framework for cooperation and partnership for the creation and management of the Museum.
