The cultural landscape of the Fès-Meknès region has been enriched with the opening of seven new movie theaters as part of the project to open 150 cinemas nationwide by the Ministry of Youth, Culture, and Communication.

Thirteen more movie theaters will soon be opening in the Fès-Meknès region, as stated by the regional director of culture in Fès-Meknès, Fouad Mahdaoui, in a statement to MAP. Cinéphiles in the city of Fès will now be able to enjoy two new movie theaters at the Al Massira Entertainment and Cultural Animation Center (140 seats) and the Aïn Kadous Cultural Education Center (256 seats).

In Meknès, the Mohamed El Mennouni Cultural Center now has a 500-seat cinema, while the Taza Theater boasts a 450-seat cinema, according to Mr. Mahdaoui. Even the smaller towns in the region are not left behind, as a 300-seat cinema has been established at the El Hajeb Cultural Center, and the Azrou Cultural Center is equipped with a 101-seat cinema. In the Boulemane province, the Outat El Haj Cultural Center now has a new 264-seat cinema, Mr. Mahdaoui added.
