The Ministry of National Education, Preschool, and Sports has announced the digitization of several services that require the national electronic identity card (CNIE), as part of the ongoing integration of new information and communication technologies (ICT) in the management of the education system and the improvement of electronic services provided remotely to candidates for certifying exams.

Among these services is the verification of the candidate’s personal data, a service aimed at providing a precise, up-to-date database whose data corresponds to that contained in the application file and official documents at the school level, in order to minimize errors that usually affect candidates’ personal data and require costly corrections, both for the candidate and the educational administration, the ministry said in a statement.

All candidates are required to verify their data via the aforementioned electronic service as a condition to receive the examination admission for the baccalaureate, the same source added.

Services also include the post-baccalaureate scholarship application, as candidates must have a CNIE to apply for a scholarship for post-baccalaureate studies. It is also possible to obtain the baccalaureate results immediately after they are posted, as well as submit claims to correct material errors during the exams, in addition to all electronic services related to the baccalaureate diploma database in its new digital format, allowing candidates to access secure digital services via various electronic devices such as mobile phones, computers, and tablets to consult the data of this diploma, as well as share the digital copy for various purposes.

Furthermore, the baccalaureate diploma now includes the CNIE number among its data, as no winner of the 2024 session can claim the diploma without having a CNIE, the same source noted.

In order to ensure the timely receipt of the baccalaureate diploma upon the announcement of the baccalaureate exam results, as well as to benefit from these digital services, the ministry urges all candidates to quickly obtain the CNIE and provide a copy to the school administration in which they are enrolled to complete their application file in order to take the baccalaureate exams for the 2024 session.
