The first edition of the women’s road race in Tamesna took place on Sunday, on the occasion of International Women’s Day.

This sports event, initiated by the Témara association accredited with the National Union of Women of Morocco (UNFM), under the theme “Sport for Women: Horizons and Challenges”, aims to encourage women to practice sports.
The event, marked by the participation of women of different age categories, also aimed to raise awareness about the importance of practicing sports and its benefits on the body and mental abilities.
The first place in this race was won by the athlete Fatima Zahra Ouhriss of AS FAR, followed by Kaoutar El Hirech (AS FAR) and Samira Sand (Difaa Hassani from El Jadida). The winning athlete emphasized that this race is an opportunity to celebrate Moroccan women, noting that her participation is part of her preparation for the upcoming International Marathon in Rabat. In turn, the president of the Témara association, Fatima Zahra Setaf, indicated that this race, held for the first time in Tamesna, has generated a strong enthusiasm among women and girls.
