The Kingdom of Morocco strongly condemns the terrorist attack perpetrated today at Crocus City Hall in Krasnogorsk near Moscow, claimed by the terrorist organization ISIS, which resulted in numerous deaths and injuries, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Residing Abroad has stated.
Furthermore, Morocco has expressed solidarity with the Russian authorities in the face of terrorism. The Kingdom extends its condolences to the families of the victims and wishes a speedy recovery to the injured.
To recall, a “group of two to five unidentified individuals wearing tactical uniforms and armed with automatic weapons” reportedly “opened fire on security personnel at the entrance of the concert hall” at Crocus City Hall in Krasnogorsk, northwest of the Russian capital, then “began firing at the audience,” as reported by AFP.
In a message published on Telegram the same day, ISIS claimed responsibility for the shooting. ISIS stated that “its fighters attacked a large gathering (…) in the vicinity of the Russian capital Moscow.” The terrorist organization also emphasized that its commando then “safely returned to its base.”
