The Swiss tennis player Stanislas Wawrinka and the Spanish player Roberto Carballés Baena have both secured their spots in the round of 16 of the 38th edition of the Grand Prix Hassan II tennis tournament, which will continue until April 7 at the Royal Court Tennis Club in Marrakech (RTCMA).

The last Arab player still in the tournament, Jordanian Abdullah Shelbayh (ranked 230th), was defeated by Italian Flavio Cobolli (ranked 63rd) in straight sets (6-1, 6-4). It is worth noting that the four players who received byes in the first round – Serbian Laslo Djere (ranked 34th and top seed of the tournament), Austrian Sebastian Ofner (ranked 47th), British Daniel Evans (ranked 42nd), and Italian Lorenzo Sonego (ranked 61st) – entered the competition on Wednesday in the round of 16.
