The council of the municipality of Casablanca held an extraordinary session on Monday. During this session, five points on the agenda, mainly related to the municipality’s budget, were examined and approved by the majority. The execution report of the budget of the municipality of Casablanca for the year 2023 was reviewed and approved. The accounts of this report ended with a surplus. The council also reviewed and approved a point regarding the reprogramming of the budget surplus resulting from the closure of the overall budget result for the year 2023, stating that the surplus to be reprogrammed amounts to 134,908,859 dirhams. This surplus will be dedicated to infrastructure development, particularly road construction. The third point approved by the council concerns the cancellation of certain budget allocations related to the equipment sector for the 2024 budget, followed by a fourth point regarding the programming of the cancelled allocations for the equipment budget for the same year. Lastly, the council approved an amendment to the agreement between the municipality of Casablanca and the local development company “Casablanca Prestations” to implement and support digital transformation projects and information systems for the municipality of Casablanca.
