The national para-athletics team has distinguished itself in various events, including the 100 meters, 200 meters, 1500 meters, 5000 meters, long jump, and discus throw.
In a statement to the MAP, Rachid Ajout, head of the Moroccan delegation, praised the performance of Moroccan athletes during this competition, which was marked by tough competition among the participating teams.
He added that the national team’s preparation takes place throughout the year to enhance the competitiveness of the athletes in preparation for upcoming competitions.
Tunisia topped the overall standings of the International Para-Athletics Grand Prix in Tunis, winning a total of 38 medals (16 gold, 12 silver, and 10 bronze).
The Tunis Grand Prix saw the participation of 353 athletes from around forty countries worldwide.
Beyond the competitive aspect, the competition is an opportunity for the countries present to classify their new athletes or confirm the classification of others listed under the “Review” category, so they can easily participate in upcoming international competitions and be included in the program of the International Paralympic Committee.
