Casablanca Mohammed V Airport received five awards on Monday as part of the international ASQ/ACI (Airport Service Quality) ranking for 2023, which evaluates the quality of airport services in different regions of the world.
Conducted by the Airports Council International (ACI), the ranking designated Casablanca Mohammed V Airport as the best airport in Africa in its category for the second consecutive year, as well as the airport with the most dedicated staff in Africa and the easiest airport to navigate in Africa, according to a statement from the National Airports Office (ONDA).
It was also chosen for the first time as the most pleasant airport in Africa and the cleanest airport in Africa, the same source added.
These awards are given annually by ACI to the best airports based on ASQ (Airport Service Quality) surveys, which evaluate passenger satisfaction through various indicators.
Surveys conducted by ACI as part of this program take into account a wide range of relevant indicators covering the entire passenger experience, including services offered, waiting times, staff courtesy, and facility cleanliness. The main objective is to measure passenger satisfaction, understand their expectations, and compare airport performances with other participants in the international ASQ program.
These awards reflect the ongoing commitment of the ONDA teams and their partners to meet the growing needs of passengers, the statement emphasizes, noting that they are part of a continuous improvement approach to service quality, in line with the ONDA’s “Envol 25” transformation plan.
The ONDA will receive these awards at the Customer Experience Global Summit and Exhibition in Atlanta, USA, from September 23 to 26, 2024.
It is worth noting that in the same ranking, Marrakech Menara Airport was recognized for the first time as the best airport in Africa in its category, the easiest airport to navigate in Africa, and the cleanest airport in Africa, according to the ONDA.
Thus, Casablanca Mohammed V and Marrakech Menara airports, classified in the category of airports serving between 5 and 15 million passengers per year, were rewarded as the best airports on the continent.
The ASQ survey for 2023 was conducted through the survey of approximately 600,000 passengers at over 400 airports worldwide. For Casablanca Mohammed V and Marrakech Menara airports, more than 2900 passengers were surveyed throughout the year 2023.
The National Airports Office remains firmly committed to raising the quality of airport services to a higher level of excellence to offer an optimal passenger experience to support the major events in our country, including the organization of the 2025 Africa Cup and the 2030 World Cup.
