As part of the cultural festivities of Ramadan, the Meydene Theater in Marrakech will host on March 30th the presentation of the play “Saken” written and directed by Hassan Hammouc. Inspired by the famous poem “Dar” by Sidi Kaddour El Alami, “Saken” plunges you into the story of Abdelhaq, an ambitious man confronted with the consequences of his actions, who finds himself caught in his own game following a scam that aimed to take ownership of a house.
Between greed, redemption, and the search for meaning, the play explores with depth the essence of Moroccan culture, while sprinkling its narrative with comedic moments and amusing situations that captivate and entertain. The play brings together Samia Akariou, Nora Skalli, Abdellah Didane, Mohammed El Ouaradi, and Noura Koraichi. The same venue is also set to host the show “Laila Al Issaouia” on Sunday, March 31st, starting at 9:30pm.
Organized by the famous Taiifa Aissawia troupe from Fes, led by the great master Said Berrada, this event promises an evening rich in emotions and spirituality. The magic of Aissawa traditional music and dance will offer the audience a unique sensory experience, fitting for this blessed month. The show “Laila Al Issaouia” is an invitation to communion, to the discovery of a millennia-old tradition, and to the sharing of precious moments with family or friends.
