Morocco illuminated the cultural scene of Stockholm during the first half of March, showcasing its richness and cultural diversity on the occasion of Francophonie Days and the “Stockholm Fashion Show.”
Through film screenings, book presentations, conferences, and workshops for children, the Embassy of Morocco in Stockholm made sure to promote the Kingdom’s age-old values through a series of cultural, educational, and artistic activities, much to the delight of French speakers and Francophiles in the country, according to a statement from the Kingdom’s diplomatic representation in Sweden. The participation of the Moroccan embassy in Stockholm in the Francophonie celebrations, under the theme “Sport Unites Us,” dazzled the Swedish cultural scene with a series of captivating events.
The Swedish public had the opportunity to watch the film “Mica” by Ismaël Ferroukhi during the opening ceremony of the Francophone film. A true anthem to perseverance, solidarity, and the strength of the human spirit in the face of adversity, “Mica” received positive reactions showcasing the enthusiasm of Francophone film lovers in Sweden to further explore Moroccan cinema, it was added. Alongside the screening of the film, the Moroccan Ambassador to Stockholm, Karim Medrek, stated that national sports have emerged as one of the strategic sectors contributing to the Kingdom’s development dynamic, thanks to the numerous initiatives launched by His Majesty King Mohammed VI.
