This field visit aims to share with local operators and all stakeholders the territorial implementation of the objectives set by His Majesty King Mohammed VI in terms of private investment.

Mohcine Jazouli, Minister Delegate in charge of investment, convergence, and evaluation of public policies, continues his regional visits for the territorialization of the private investment strategy. After the Oriental region, Mr. Jazouli made a stop in Marrakech-Safi where he met with public and private actors of the region. A working session took place under the chairmanship of Farid Chourak, wali of the Marrakech-Safi region, and was attended by the main regional actors of the investment ecosystem. This includes working sessions at the Regional Investment Center, site visits, and a meeting with investors in the region. The goal is to share with local operators and all stakeholders the territorial implementation of the objectives set by His Majesty King Mohammed VI in terms of private investment. This includes the objective of 550 billion dirhams of investment by 2026 with the creation of 500,000 jobs in the long term. The ambition is also to strengthen the convergence of various initiatives to achieve these goals at the regional level. “With a private investment target in the Marrakech-Safi region of 58 billion dirhams and 50,000 jobs by 2026, the region must contribute to nearly 10% of the national goal. The concerted efforts of regional and central actors are already bearing fruit as we see a significant increase in approved investment projects in 2023, with over 500 projects approved for the creation of an additional 26,000 jobs,” said the Department of Investment, Convergence, and Evaluation of Public Policies. Indeed, Marrakech-Safi has many advantages that make it one of the most prosperous regions in the Kingdom. Its dynamic economy is supported by key sectors such as tourism, industry, mining, handicrafts, and agriculture. Public investments, combined with a clear strategic vision, have allowed the development of world-class infrastructure, including airports, roads, industrial zones, and energy facilities.
