A new ranking, recently published, placed Morocco in 17th position among about twenty countries most indebted to the Bretton Woods institution with an estimated loan balance of 1.34 billion dollars.
The American website relied on data collected up to March 24, 2024.
It is worth noting that Morocco obtained a loan of 1.3 billion dollars in November 2023, knowing that since April 2023 it has benefited from a flexible line of credit designed for crisis prevention, amounting to five billion dollars.
