On Thursday, FIFA announced that Morocco will host 5 consecutive editions of the U17 Women’s World Cup, starting from the 2025 edition until 2029. Qatar will host the same competition for the U17 male category.
According to FIFA, these two countries were chosen following a global call for bids, with one of the essential criteria being the utilization of existing football infrastructure for logistical efficiency and sustainability.
Furthermore, FIFA stated that the U17 World Cup will now be held annually rather than every two years, as part of their commitment to youth football.
