As he prepares for his first album, scheduled for release in 2024, young artist Amine Benkiran reveals his brand new single entitled “Nenssak”. The work thus plunges listeners into the nostalgia associated with the loss of a loved one.
Emerging as a singer-songwriter, composer, and performer from the Casablanca music scene, Amine Benkiran announces the release of his new single “Nenssak”. This title represents a vibrant tribute to his grandmother, an essential influence, who loved him unconditionally and supported him unwaveringly in his moments of vulnerability. This song celebrates the memory of the woman who was his confidante and pillar, offering a catchy ballad skillfully merging rock influences with the artist’s unique style. Beyond just a song, “Nenssak” offers a unique musical experience.
For this poignant narrative, Amine Benkiran chose to use Darija as a medium, a dialect he used to communicate with his grandmother and with which he would have liked to convey his message. With rare authenticity, the work thus plunges listeners into the nostalgia associated with the loss of a loved one. For the record, Amine Benkiran began his career in the bustling streets of Paris before performing regularly on the Casablanca nightlife scene.
After founding bands that made their mark at major festivals in Morocco, Amine decided to focus on his solo career, convinced that the best example to offer his two young children is that of a man who pursues his dreams with determination. His songs, filled with sincerity, explore the multiple facets of life by merging rock/folk influences with contemporary pop sounds. With titles like “Netsennaha”, “9oddam”, and “Blood Ran Out”, as well as the recent “You Are”, dedicated to his wife and accompanied by a captivating music video featuring the couple on a road trip through Morocco, Amine Benkiran has managed to captivate a diverse audience.
As he prepares for his first album, scheduled for release in 2024, Amine Benkiran aims to renew the Moroccan rock music scene by bringing a youthful breeze to it. The artist plans to return to the summer stage to perform his songs live, thus reconnecting with the energy of the audience that he misses so much.
