Presented as part of the “Qatar-Morocco Cultural Year 2024”, the collection of Berber jewelry from the Royal Palace on display at the Museum of Islamic Art in Doha, Qatar, until May 20th is a huge success. This event, which is drawing a large crowd of Moroccans living in Qatar, is organized by the National Foundation of Museums of the Kingdom of Morocco and the Museum of Islamic Art in Doha with the support of the Moroccan Embassy in Doha. The exhibition is coordinated by Adel El Fakir, Director General of the Moroccan National Tourism Office and General Commissioner of the “Qatar-Morocco Cultural Year 2024”.

“Moroccans living in Qatar as well as Qataris have expressed their great pride in discovering the collection of Berber jewelry from the Royal Palace, which represents an exceptional facet of Morocco’s tangible and intangible heritage. A pride made even greater by the fact that it is the first time that the collection of Berber jewelry from the Royal Palace of the Kingdom of Morocco is being exhibited outside of Morocco,” the organizers said.

In addition to their fascination with the extensive collection of Berber jewelry, Qataris, Moroccans, and visitors from around the world can experience a true cultural and artistic immersion through a rich program highlighting traditional Moroccan music and the art of henna tattoos, as well as the exhibition of an oil painting by Moroccan artist Otmane Belkadi inspired by the beauty of traditional Berber jewelry.
