Georgia has qualified for Euro 2024, where they will play in a group with Portugal, by beating Greece on penalties (0-0, 4-2 on penalties) in a playoff on Tuesday.
The team, coached by Frenchman Willy Sagnol, has qualified for the first time since the country’s independence in 1990 for the final phase of an international tournament. They will play in Group F with Portugal, Turkey, and the Czech Republic.
