Morocco and Italy sign Agreement on mutual recognition of driver’s licenses

The Agreement was signed by Mr. Youssef Balla, Ambassador of His Majesty the King to the Italian Republic, and Mr. Matteo Salvini, Vice-President of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, in the presence of the Vice-Minister responsible for maritime transport.

During the signing ceremony of this Agreement at the headquarters of the Italian Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, Mr. Salvini expressed his admiration for the progress made by Morocco and the economic development in terms of road, rail, and port infrastructure.

In this regard, he called for further strengthening of bilateral relations in the field of connectivity, highlighting the investment opportunities offered by the Kingdom.

For his part, Mr. Balla emphasized that the implementation of this Agreement reflects the firm and continuous commitment of the Moroccan government, inspired by the High Instructions of His Majesty King Mohammed VI and the very high concern that the Sovereign has always shown for members of the Moroccan community.

He added that this new instrument adds to the legal framework that governs the excellent cooperation and partnership between the Kingdom of Morocco and the Italian Republic in several areas of common interest.
