Morocco ranked 4th (23.8) in the mixed relay won by Kenya, the title winner for the 3rd consecutive time (4x2000m in 22.15), ahead of Ethiopia in second place (22.43) and Great Britain in third (23.00).
Morocco narrowly missed the bronze medal won by Great Britain.
Overall in the competitions, Africa is on all three steps of the podium:
Kenya, in first place with 11 medals including 6 gold.
Ethiopia, in second place with 10 medals including 2 gold.
Uganda, in third place with 5 medals including 1 gold.
