Krystyna Pyszkova, hailing from the Czech Republic, emerged victorious as the Miss World 2024 at a spectacular event held in Mumbai. The momentous occasion saw the first runner-up position secured by Yasmina Zaytoun from Lebanon, with Karolina Bielawska from Poland, the previous Miss World, proudly passing on the prestigious crown to her successor during the star-studded finale.

A report by Business Day highlighted Pyszkova’s triumph as she clinched the coveted Miss World 2024 title at the grand ceremony hosted at the Jio World Cinema in Mumbai. Adding to her accolades, Krystyna also received the esteemed Best Fashion Designer Award for Europe. She faced tough competition from notable contestants such as Sini Shetty from India, Aché Abrahams from Trinidad and Tobago, and Lesego Chombo from Botswana, ultimately securing the top spot.

Fluent in English, Polish, Slovak, and German, Pyszkova marked herself as the second Miss World from the Czech Republic. Despite India hosting the event after 28 years, Sini Shetty represented the country but did not manage to secure a spot in the top four. India, with a history of winning the title six times before, had high hopes riding on Shetty.

With a dual degree in Law and Business Administration, Pyszkova’s multifaceted talents extended to modeling and founding the Krystyna Pyszko Foundation. Her philanthropic efforts included establishing an English school for underprivileged children in Tanzania, showcasing her commitment to education and empowerment. Additionally, her proficiency in art allowed her to play the transverse flute and the violin, adding another layer to her diverse skill set.

Pyszkova’s Beauty With A Purpose project shone a light on her impactful initiatives in Tanzania and her foundation in the Czech Republic, which offers educational programs benefiting children, the elderly, and individuals with mental disabilities. In an interview with indianexpress.com, Pyszkova conveyed her enthusiasm and dedication to her role as the Beauty with a Purpose ambassador, emphasizing the importance of giving back and creating positive change.

Wearing a stunning custom-made gown by a Thai designer, Pyszkova’s fondness for India and its rich culture was evident. She also championed sustainability, revealing that her national costume was crafted from recyclable materials, reflecting her commitment to environmental responsibility. Her passion for the arts, including playing the transverse flute and the violin, further showcased her dedication to personal growth and self-expression.

With the 71st Miss World pageant held at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai attracting participants from 112 countries, the event celebrated diversity, talent, and purpose. As Pyszkova embarks on her reign as Miss World 2024, her message of empowerment, sustainability, and philanthropy resonates with young girls worldwide, encouraging them to embrace their potential and cultivate a winning mindset.
