‘Misplaced priority, absolutely absurd’ – ADC blasts Tinubu’s UN Security Council pursuit

The African Democratic Congress has slammed the push by President Bola Tinubu to secure a permanent seat for Nigeria at the United Nations Security Council.

This is as the opposition described the push as a misplaced priority by Tinubu as insecurity continues to claim lives across the country.

The National Publicity Secretary of the ADC, Bolaji Abdullahi, in a statement on Sunday, claimed that President Tinubu cannot push for expanded global roles while allegedly neglecting the primary duty of safeguarding lives and property within Nigeria.

According to him, Nigeria has long advocated for a permanent seat on the United Nations Security Council.
