http://Actuguinee.org / In an interview with our colleagues at RFI, Prime Minister Bah Oury talked about a possible extension of the transition timeline. A statement that did not sit well with the Forces Vives de Guinée (FVG) who, in a declaration, expressed their concern about the process of returning to constitutional order.
For the leaders of this organization, this statement by the head of the Government once again proves “the failure of the CNRD governance”
“This statement by the new Prime Minister confirms the Guinean authorities’ renunciation of the Dynamic Agreement concluded with ECOWAS in October 2022, which limited the duration of the Transition to 24 months. This admission by the Prime Minister is a clear illustration of the failure of the CNRD governance denounced on several occasions by the Forces Vives de Guinée,” they say
Furthermore, the Forces Vives de Guinée (FVG) regret that after more than two years of managing the transition, the conditions for holding elections have not been met due to a lack of political will.
That is why “they call on national and international public opinion to take the seriousness of this situation into account and call on the CNRD to take immediate action to rectify the transition in order to avoid chaos in our country. The FVG demand that the CNRD establish a framework for dialogue with the political and social forces representative of the Nation, in accordance with Article 77 of the Transition Charter.”
Additionally, the Forces Vives de Guinée invite their members and supporters to mobilize “to respond with the greatest determination to the calls they will not fail to issue to demand a prompt return to constitutional order in accordance with the commitments made by the CNRD in this regard,” declared the leaders of the FVG
