The introduction of Kreol Morisien (KM) in parliament is an ongoing process. This cannot happen overnight,” Prime Minister Pravind Jugnauth explained to parliament on Tuesday, March 26.
The Prime Minister was responding to a question from MP Anne Navarre-Marie regarding the introduction of KM in parliament.
The conditions for using KM in the chamber are not yet met, the Prime Minister believed.
Acknowledging that he wants KM to be used in parliament, the Prime Minister emphasized that this project involves a lot of work, which cannot be overstressed.
Listing the various committees set up by his government to establish this issue, the Prime Minister argued that even members of the National Assembly will need to be trained to have a good command of KM.
“We must proceed step by step with a holistic approach,” pleaded Pravind Jugnauth.
