“These are the words of the Prime Minister, spoken on Thursday, April 11. Pravind Jugnauth spoke this morning at the Sunni Razvi Society International as part of the official Eid celebrations.
In his speech, the Prime Minister emphasized the importance of coexistence among all communities in Mauritius. He noted with sadness that due to conflicts in other countries, innocent lives are lost. Pravind Jugnauth expressed the Mauritian government’s solidarity with the Palestinian people.
“This is a situation that concerns everyone,” said the Prime Minister. He explained that Mauritius is in favor of an immediate ceasefire. Pravind Jugnauth encouraged Mauritians to participate in the telethon that has been set up to help the Palestinians.
Through our actions, the way we live, and the education we receive, we make our country a better place. It is important for all communities to live together peacefully in Mauritius. The Prime Minister expressed his concern about the loss of innocent lives in conflicts in other countries and reiterated Mauritius’ solidarity with the Palestinian people.
He emphasized the need for a ceasefire and urged Mauritians to contribute to the telethon to support the Palestinians. It is through solidarity and support that we can make a positive impact on the lives of others.
