Citizens took to the streets of the capital this Saturday, March 23, from St. Louis Cathedral to La Compagnie Garden.

Citizens, activists, and politicians were present to challenge the government’s decision regarding the re-registration of SIM cards.

Carrying their signs and the national flag, the participants chanted, “Not all our SIM cards.”

Percy Yip Tong, one of the organizers of the march, stated that it is now necessary to trust the judicial system.

“We still have six weeks left. This protest marks the beginning. We are satisfied because we have seen the presence of citizens. We must now have faith in the justice system.”

The activist calls on the government: “We are asking the government to show itself reasonable. We are not opposing. But we are asking them to reflect and give us a valid reason.”
