The Grand Master of the Grand Orient of France, Guillaume Trichard, is currently visiting Mauritius. This afternoon, he will be hosting a public conference at the Port Louis municipality on the theme “Freemasonry and the Universal Republic.”
His visit to Mauritius is part of a tour in the Indian Ocean region. He was in La Reunion at the beginning of the week and will head to Rodrigues on Saturday before continuing to Madagascar on Sunday.
Guillaume Trichard was elected as the Grand Master of the Grand Orient of France last year on August 24, 2023. He is a graduate of the Mines Telecom Business School and holds a Master’s degree in Executive Management of Human Resources and Labor Relations from CIFFOP, University of Paris II Panthéon-Assas.
Throughout his professional career, he has worked in major industrial groups such as Alcatel, Thomson (now Technicolor), and Vantiva, holding positions such as Marketing Director.
Prior to his election as the head of the Grand Orient, he served as the Deputy Secretary General of UNSA (National Union of Autonomous Unions), responsible for national legal affairs, ecological transformation, technological transitions, and Corporate Social Responsibility.
Mauritian Amaresh Ramlugan currently serves as the Deputy Grand Master of GODF.
