Following the recommendation of the National Crisis Committee, cyclone warnings for Mauritius have been lifted.

There are currently no cyclone warnings in effect for Mauritius.

Cloud bands associated with Eleanor will continue to influence the weather on the island with intermittent, moderate rain at times with isolated thunderstorms. There will be pockets of fog in the highlands tonight and tomorrow morning.

The wind will blow from the southwest at around 30 km/h with gusts of 70 km/h during showers.

The sea will remain rough with waves of 6 to 8 meters in open waters. It is strongly advised for the public not to venture out to sea or onto the beaches.

Again, there are currently no cyclone warnings in effect for Mauritius.

For more information, the public is advised to consult the regular bulletins issued by the Meteorological Services of Mauritius.
