The protocol for the dengue epidemic implemented by the Ministry of Health states that anyone infected with the virus must isolate at home for a period of ten days.

Home surveillance units have been set up to take care of patients who are in home isolation. This same protocol is also in place in hospitals. In the meantime, awareness and adoption of preventive measures to protect public health and minimize the impact of this epidemic continue on the part of the authorities.

It is worth noting that from December 11, 2023 to Friday, February 23, 2024, Mauritius recorded 1,486 cases, of which 520 cases were still active as of yesterday.
