Rahul still needs your help. Earlier this year, we shared the story of Rahul Bhurosy, who has been suffering from muscular dystrophy since he was seven years old. His mother, Prateemah Bhurosy, made a plea for assistance in our columns to get mineral water bottles. Good news, some kind-hearted individuals heard her plea, and since then, the family living in a small apartment in NHDC at Pointe-aux-Sables has been receiving monthly packs of water, which are essential for Rahul Bhurosy, who depends on them. However, Prateemah Bhurosy still needs our help, this time for purchasing medications.

“Rahul needs to take heart medications twice a day. One box currently costs Rs 600, which means I have to find Rs 2,400 every month. It’s not easy for me.” As a reminder, Duchenne muscular dystrophy is characterized by the fact that all daily functions related to muscle integrity are affected. Furthermore, the problems caused by the impact on the heart muscle and respiratory muscles have a more significant impact on his life. “I am currently taking care of my youngest who had foot surgery and needs dressing every day, making our days even longer…”

If you would like more information about Rahul Bhurosy, please contact Prateemah Bhurosy at 5704-0731.
