The racehorse accessed the platform of this Australian station on Friday evening, alone, and strolled along its entire length, according to rather unusual surveillance footage. The animal, covered in a beige blanket, had escaped from nearby stables, local transport officials confirmed.

Upon its arrival at the station, a train had to remain closed as a precaution in case this curious traveler decided to board. After walking along the platform for about 17 minutes, the horse finally boarded a trailer with the arrival of its trainer.

“This animal episode was a little unusual,” said Matt Longland, the CEO of Sydney Trains, the local railway transport network. “It’s not every day that you see a horse on the platform,” added Jo Haylen, the Minister of Transport for the state of New South Wales.
