The President of India, Droupadi Murmu, and the Prime Minister, Pravind Jugnauth, inaugurated 14 small development projects electronically after a Delegation Level Meeting at the Sri Harilal Vaghjee Memorial Hall yesterday. They also electronically unveiled the foundation stone of the new Forensic Science Laboratory.
Four Memorandums of Understanding (MoU) were also exchanged on this occasion, between the International Financial Services Centres Authority and the Financial Services Commission; between the public service commissions of Mauritius and India; an agreement allowing for the amendment of the double taxation treaty between the Great Peninsula and Mauritius to align it with the standards on base erosion and profit shifting; and a final agreement between the Central Bureau of Investigation of India and the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) of Mauritius.
The 14 small development projects inaugurated online include mini football fields in Cité-La-Cure, Mare-D’Australia, Trois Boutiques, L’Avenir, a shelter in Laventure and Petit-Raffray; the extension of the banquet hall in Moka; a mini football field and recreational center in Résidence Firinga; a petanque field in Britannia; a green space in Gangadhar Lane, Palma; an outdoor gym, jogging track, and petanque field in Morcellement Savannah, Camp-Diable.
