Nioro, April 2 (AMAP) A control evaluation session is necessary to improve the achievements of governance consolidation and to assess the performances of the municipalities covered by the Deployment of State Resources for Service Improvement Project (PDREAS, learned from a local source.

The present extraordinary steering committee for coordination and monitoring of the development actions of the region is in the framework.

Participants from all Circles of the region were interested in following the presentation of the synthesis evaluation report of the 7 municipalities covered for the smooth running of the project.

The Governor of the Nioro Region, Colonel-major Aly ANNAJI, was pleased with the holding of this first meeting which marks a stage in the operationalization of the region, as it was the Kayes region that was the link for our municipalities benefiting from the project’s support.

For him, the purpose of this CROCSAD meeting is to allow participants to appreciate the results before proceeding to validate the evaluation of the performance of the Urban Municipality of Fatao in the Diangounté Camara Circle, carried out from February 19 to 20, 2024, and the Municipalities of Gavinané, Gadiaba Kadiel, Nioro Tougouné Rangabé, Nioro, Youri, and Trougoumbé, Nioro Circle, carried out from February 22 to 24, 2024.

“You will therefore have to assess the progress made by our seven (7) municipalities but also the shortcomings observed in their development. This situation gives you the opportunity to make a diagnosis objectively and formulate relevant recommendations for achieving the desired performance,” he added.

At the end of the meeting, participants made, among other recommendations, in the exercise of the project in the 24 municipalities, the establishment of an ANICT antenna at the regional level.
