Bla, April 15 (AMAP)The closing ceremony of the inter-Malian dialogue forum was presided over on Monday in Bla by the prefect of the district, Mrs. Fanta Samaké in the presence of her 2nd deputy Moriba CAMARA, the mayor and his deputies, as observed by AMAP.

Participating in this communal-level inter-Malian dialogue forum were the chiefs of the 19 villages of the rural commune of Bla, the heads of the FDS units, union leaders, religious leaders (Christians and Muslims), all components of civil society, RECOTRAD and the local press.

Following words of thanks from the mayor of the rural commune of Bla, the vice-president of the inter-Malian dialogue forum in the commune of Bla, and the coordinator of the village chiefs of the rural commune of Bla, the District Prefect Fanta, in her speech, thanked all participants for their massive and effective participation and their committed engagement throughout the process of these discussions.

Over three days, participants discussed five main themes: Peace, National Reconciliation and Social Cohesion; Political and Institutional Issues; Economy and Sustainable Development; Security Aspects and Defense of the Territory; and Geopolitics and International Environment.

At the end of the discussions, participants made recommendations including extending the transition period to five years, limiting the number of political parties to three (03), abandoning the CFA franc in favor of the Malian currency or that of the Sahel States Alliance (AES), creating military camps in all district capitals of Mali, and strengthening and equipping the Defense and Security Forces of Mali with armored vehicles and other modern equipment in the Bla district and in other districts of Mali.

The inter-Malian dialogue forum, which began on Saturday, April 13 and ended on Monday, April 15, 2024, concluded with closing remarks from the prefect of the Bla district, Mrs. Fanta SAMAKE.
