In 2024, Standard Bank has once again been recognized as the most valuable banking brand in Africa, marking the third consecutive year that the bank has claimed the top spot in Africa Brand Finance’s annual ranking of the world’s Top 500 Banking Brands. With a brand value that has increased by 12.4% in the past year, Standard Bank now boasts a brand value of over $1.9 billion US dollars, solidifying its position as the top banking brand in Africa and rising to 138th place in the global ranking, up from 145th in 2023.

Brand Finance conducts assessments of 5,000 of the largest brands across the globe and releases nearly 100 reports each year, ranking brands across various sectors. The annual Brand Finance Banking 500 ranking showcases the world’s top 500 most valuable and strongest banking brands. Standard Bank’s success in this ranking is a testament to the bank’s unwavering commitment to providing exceptional service to its clients and driving growth across Africa.
