The training gave Ranja an opportunity to create a fashion boutique that sells items like the red dress she is wearing.
Financial support is the first need of many Malagasy people wishing to start their own business. Men and women with their own business project who wish to create their business within the Association Les Pêcheurs Madagascar are supported by this organization. This non-profit organization aims to provide them with advice and financial support so that they can start their own business. Currently, more than five hundred businesses have been established in Antananarivo with the help of this organization during its ten years of existence. In other words, we can say that fifty small businesses are created each year. All of this was announced yesterday at the association’s office in Ambaranjana on the occasion of the arrival of their founder.
The association teaches project holders the know-how and provides them with financial assistance. “Each person receives a fund of around 600,000 ariary to create their own business. There may be more depending on what they do. We offer competitive training on business management and good financial management, free of charge,” explained Anne Fuller, the association’s founder from Australia. The training lasts for six months. After completing the training, beneficiaries should provide an exact business plan in order to receive the certificate and start-up fund.
