ESD basketball players have clearly defeated the Cnela players in a match played at the Palais des Sports Mahamasina, thus qualifying for the finals.
The ESD basketball players, or Superior School of Law and Political Science, dominated the Cnela players, or National English Language Teaching Center, yesterday at the Palais des Sports Mahamasina, in a closely contested match of the interuniversity basketball tournament, group stage. They won with a score of 44-34 (16-7, 15-12, 5-11, 8-4).

In the third quarter, the Cnela players made a strong comeback by gradually narrowing the gap. With less than 3 minutes and 35 seconds remaining in the third quarter, the score was 35-25, ending at 36-30.
Strategy
Both teams attacked fiercely in the fourth quarter, but in the rush, both teams missed a lot of baskets. The Cnela players closed the gap to less than 4, at 38-34, 3 minutes before the end of the match. Penalized by 5 team fouls, they fell behind in the final three minutes. The final score was 44-34.
With three wins in four matches, the ESD basketball players have secured their qualification for the finals. “We led by a wide margin, but our opponents gradually came back.
