Holy Antsa Rabejaona improves her own record in 50m backstroke.

Six new times recorded. Three national records and three best performances were updated during the first two days of the Madagascar short course championship, Thursday and Friday, at the Antanimena Esca pool. Holy Antsa Rabejaona, a scholarship student and expatriate from Russia, improved her own national record in the 50m backstroke, going from 00:30:32 to 00:30:55, achieved in October 2021.

The triple gold medalist breaststroker at the Island Games and former resident of the International Center in Thailand, Harivony Jonathan Raharvel, on his part, updated the Madagascar record in the 200m breaststroke. He beat the former record of Olympian Jean Luc Razafiarivony, set in Geneva in 1997, with his new time of 2:18:33. And the third record was the feat of Malalasoa Andrianirina of Tana Racing Club in the 200m breaststroke. She improved the former time of Stephanie Rasoamanana from 2:48:72 to 2:49:63.

The swimmer from Managing Baritiana Andriampenomanana was the author of the two new best performances. Baritiana set, on Thursday, the new cadet MP in the 200m butterfly, going from 2:14:59 to 2:18:30, the former time of Lalanomena Andrianirina. He also updated, yesterday, the MP of the 400m freestyle, going from 4:23:03 to 4:31:72, the former time of Toky Ralibera from the Esca club, dating back to 2018. And the third MP was signed by Tendry Tiavina Rakotobe in the 100m individual medley, going from 1:01:39 to 1:03:87 from Ranto Ratsimisata of Dobarano, accomplished in 2013 at the Indian Ocean Meeting in Reunion Island.
