Ranix has been a member of the Rebika group since 1993.

The Rebika group will celebrate its 35th anniversary with an Easter show titled “Ngeza makadiry,” in collaboration with Lax Pro and Airtel Madagascar on April 1st at Antsahamanitra. For this special occasion, all members of the group will be present.

What will happen during this anniversary show on Monday?

We plan to delight all our fans by performing over sixty songs this Monday to celebrate Rebika’s 35th anniversary together. Even new songs that have never been heard before will be presented. The entire Rebika group will be on stage to give special value to this anniversary. This show titled “Ngeza makadiry” will be an opportunity to share our musical journey of the past thirty-five years. It will take place from 2:30 pm to 8:30 pm. Additionally, albums containing over one hundred and twenty songs with music videos will be available at Antsahamanitra.

Will Rampal be present?

Regarding Rampal, even though he is not able to perform at full capacity due to his health condition, he will stay with us from the beginning to the end of the show. His commitment despite the challenges he faces will testify to the unwavering spirit of our group.

How do you manage your relationships with other group members while residing in Paris?

Fortunately, technology makes it easier to maintain contact with members here in Madagascar. Usually, when I compose a song, there is one for which we cannot use the same instruments as in Tana, because it is here in Madagascar that I often find more inspiration. Despite that, in Paris, I continue to perform on stage, but often in an evangelical context.

Can you trace the history of the Rebika group?

I have not been present since the beginning, as I joined the group in 1993. Previously, I was a member of a group in Toamasina, notably with Lucien and in the “Johary” group, and I also had my own group called “Mahavanona.” Later, when my parents were relocated to Tana, I joined the Rebika group’s adventure. In 1987, Hery Tiana, Benja, Noely, Rivo, and Hery met, starting with hosting events such as weddings and burials by performing songs. In 1988, the meeting with Rampal marked the beginning of the group’s creation, with an immediate immersion in writing and broadcasting our own songs on the media. And afterward, Tonton Pà and myself joined the team.

What are your plans to mark this 35th anniversary?

We plan to share this anniversary with all our fans across the country and abroad. However, for now, our priority is to focus on the show at Antsahamanitra. We will think about the next event after that.
