President Adrien Julio Edouard Andrianirina of the Fsbm declares the federation’s decision regarding the ABMI’s request.
The Malagasy Sport Boules Federation has decided to validate the men’s triples final at the Madagascar Cup on April 7 in Antsirabe. The ABMI’s request was rejected.
The Malagasy Sport Boules Federation has validated the victory title of the Madagascar Cup won by the Union Bouliste Manjaka (UBM) triples team on April 7 in Antsirabe. The Federation has thus approved the final. The trio Faly Donald Andrianantenaina, Hery Nirina Edmond, and Jeannie Alexander Razafinirina won 13-0 against the Amical Bouliste Mandrosoa Ivato (ABMI) team.
The president of the ABMI club, Miarimanana Razafinarivo, submitted a request on April 9, claiming “the violation of rules regarding player transfers, specifically concerning the transfer of Jeannie Alexander.” The Federation received the request from the Analamanga league on April 11. As planned, the winning team of the national Cup will represent the country at the upcoming African championship from June 6 to 9 in Morocco, in case the Federation receives an official letter lifting the sanction. “We are in the process of restructuring the Federation’s management in accordance with the FIPJP’s recommendations, including the implementation of a license management software and the reform of basic structures,” explains the interim president of the Federation, Adrien Julio Edouard Andrianirina.
Regulation
Applying the official rules for petanque approved by the Executive Committee of the International Federation of Petanque and Jeu Provençal (FIPJP) in December 2020, and applicable in all territories of FIPJP member national federations, article 31 specifies that “any complaint must be made to a referee. Once the game is over, no complaints can be accepted.”
The Federation’s team decided yesterday that the ABMI club president’s request is not admissible. According to the explanations of the Fsbm’s boss, “the claimed player did indeed transfer, filling out the old document with a transfer signed by his former club, FAM Ambohipo… We do not want to penalize a player who has already received authorization from his previous club. Moreover, this case is not isolated, as 80% of the players participating in the Madagascar Cup filled out the old transfer form.”
